My Frogs are such good subjects! Jan 6 2011

So now that our frogs have been re-located to a new tank (that has a light and makes it much easier to take photos) I am loving taking their picture as often as I can. I think its not as scary to them either b/c with the light the flash doesn't seem as bad.

In case you didn't know, I have two african claw frogs. Good possibility you will see many photos of them over the 365 years-although how different each picture is will depend how active they are. One likes to hide most of the time but I have just begun giving them "treats" on occassion. For the past 10 years they have pretty much been vegitarians getting feed pellets and nothing else. Since we moved, I spoke with someone at the pet store and they suggested giving them ghost shrimp as a treat. Not an every day food but a specialty. I had him show me it was something they could eat by feeding some to the frogs in the store first. He did and said mine would love them. I told him they better not die because of it or I was coming back to him. Thankfully-they didn't die and they LOVE them. They come out of hiding and are active. The last time I got some a week or so ago they mixed in a few little fish too and a couple days later the fish were gone-so apparently they like sushi too!

Here is a photo I took of Frick chilling by the filter. He always seemed to like chilling by the part that vibrats like he is getting a massage. Here he is sticking his nose out of the water while he chills!

and as a bonus since I missed a night this week...

Jan 5 Tasty Treat

Today's photo is of my dinner. It is tasty homemade chicken cutlets made by my grandmother and they are DEEEEEEEEE-Licious!! I haven't had them in AGES and it is definately one of the benefits of living half a block from her. I have never made them as good as her no matter how I tried. I will be getting her to come over and show me how to make them VERY soon.

Jan 4 2010

I am not really feeling the whole "blogging" thing tonight but I did want to post a photo. It won't mean a heck of a lot to strangers who see it but tonight I had to put the end of my old countertop on the curb for street pick up b/c of an incompetent plumber who either never checked his work or never cared to check things and his lack of care and skill led to water back up into our basement for the last few months and only today did we really find out why. But since that had been happening, this piece of our old kitchen that pretty much meant the world to me to keep for sentimental reasons (it was being turned into a stand alone table for my craft room) had to be put to the curb b/c mold had started to grow on the bottom of it and with my allergies and such I just couldn't take the chance in trying to keep it. It REALLY ticks me off and makes little sense to me how this all could have happened but it did and I must move on. But I don't have to like it or be happy about it.

As silly as it might seem to people who read/view this, the whole reason I was willing to get all new cabinets was because I could save this piece. Grrrrrrr!

Jan 2 2011-A day of coasters

Today was a great day at home-no real plans other than do nothing but relax and watch football. So my photo for today is of the coaster...or at least phase one of it!

2011 is Here-time to start over~

Ok so even though technically I could start my 365 days of photos over any day I choose...I am going to start fresh with 1-1-11...and who knows if I will be better than I was in 2010 but a girl can try right?

So today was a good day spent with good friends in our new home. So this year I am going to start off with a photo of our frogs, Frick and Frack. Technically I took the photo on Dec 31 but since it didn't end up on my computer until today I am going to give myself a bye and count it for my first photo.

In other photo business I only got a fraction of my photo goals met in 2010-lots of other things went on over the year that I didn't have as much time for the scrapbooking side as I had hoped but as things settle down (I hope) then 2011 could be better for those projects. I have been feeling very scattered in my photos and blogging so hopefully I can get myself organized and on task for 2011!

Jan 8 2010 365 Day Challenge

Well, I know this didn't get posted last night but I did get my camera out during the day and take a few photos. The challenge suggestion was something that makes you laugh. Yesterday I actually had a few things that made me laugh but not really something I was able to snag a photo of in the moment. It was a busy day with work, then drive to PA then visit my grandfather and then off to see my niece at her basketball practice and then back home again! Since I did so much yesterday, today will be rewarded with doing nothing....well hopefully nothing more than scrapbooking related stuff lol. (I really want to try and make an overlay for my photos to designate them for the challenge.)

So, my photo of the day has to do with snow. Not the mounds of snow a lot of places have gotten (although I wish we had!) but the individual flakes that fall. When I was leaving work yesterday, the snow was blowing all around. It wasn't the kind that sticks (everything else was too warm) but it was pretty to watch and as I sat in my car letting it warm up I noticed the little flakes landing on my window and thought "What a cool photo that would be." So here is what I got:

Today has started off well with some Saturday morning Beverly Hills 90210 which is always a nice start....we will see where the rest of the day goes!!

365 Day Challenge: Jan 7

So, today's suggestion was to take a photo of your favorite food. I like lots of things but I did take a photo of my new fave snack (as of this week!)....port wine cheese and crackers!

And as promised I figured I would include a few photos from my work. I am sure down the line I won't always have more than one picture but it is really hard for me to be a "one photo gal".
Here is the view from right outside my office door....to the left, right and right in front LOL

What will we see tomorrow....
